Record Deficits: The work of a "compassionate conservative"
Please read the following link about the projected deficit for this fiscal year:
WASHINGTON - A senior Bush administration official says the budget deficit for this year will set a record in dollar terms, approaching $490 billion.
The official said Monday the deficit was being driven to record levels by the sagging economy and the stimulus payments being made to 130 million households in an effort to keep the country from falling into a deep recession. A deficit approaching $490 billion would easily surpass the current record deficit of $413 billion set in 2004.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the new deficit estimate had not been formally released. Bush administration officials were scheduled to do that at a news conference later Monday.
We sure don't want any of those tax and spend Democrats in office when we can achieve results like this with the borrow and spend GOP'ers.

Physically, Lee Fisher kind of reminds me of Joe Biden.
Thanks, I'm not sure what that means. Fiscally, George W. Bush reminds me of Ronald Reagan. Not much fiscal discipline for self described conservatives.

I don't see it either. Fisher has more of a Chuck Schumer feel than a Joe Biden.
Hmm. That's a close call between Biden and Schumer. Biden has too much marm. Just look at that smile and the way hishair lyes on his head...differs significantly from Fisher. Thus I'd vote for Schumer.
Shouldn't that be 'lays' and not 'lyes' in regards to Biden's hair?
