Constituent service Ohio Senate District 2 style

Well folks, here's the scoop. I contacted the office of State Senator Mark Wagoner on Thursday February 17, 2011 regarding the matter of Senate Bill 5 which is currently being considered by the state of Ohio. The message I heard clearly stated that no one was in the office at the time and if I left a message with my name and phone number , they would get back with me. However today is Saturday February 26, 2011 and I have yet to receive my call from either the senator or a member of his staff.

These folks are well paid by us, their tax paying constituents, and should be responsive to our concerns. However, in the senator's world, apparently constituents don't matter. Funny, but he did have plenty of time to plan the juvenile destruction of property and vandalization of property while on a "retreat" with some of his fellow legislators back in January. If you can't do your job, you may as well resign and let someone else take over.

Representative Sears focusing on top priorities again

The following is a story from the Toledo Blade illustrating Ohio District 46 State Representative Barbara Sears' latest attempt to change Ohio law with respect to the labeling/categorization of the dog breed "pit bull" in Ohio. Is it just me, or does anyone else
think that this is a waste of time which does nothing to meet the challenges our region and
state face at this critical time?

Will this create jobs? What is the benefit of this bill to ordinary Ohioans? Please let me know, Ms Sears.
